I promise I'll finish this before the New Year rolls out. If I don't, the first person to nag me about it gets a free ... I don't know, something, how about that? @AtomicSlug SkyBriggs and everyone else involved, sorry I keep disappearing, haha. :/

In case some of you might be wondering what the heck is this weirdo rambling about, I had a not-so-well thought of idea to make a full length visual novel (the initial plan was 6h+ gameplay, now I estimate 1.5 h for one playthrough, 4 endings but I'll be releasing the 2 ending version unless it launches off well and I miraculously become hyper-motivated) early this year while I was still uncomfortable with my art level and had no gamemaking experience whatsoever. As a man of integrity (humor me) I will finish it regardless of quality. There's also another collab I was doing that I plan to finish before January too (spoiler: it's making sprites for another visual novel, I never learned, huh?).

After this though, I still intend to develop another game (a very simple one in concept, programming is the death of me. Probably a short shmup) for 2019 and this time, I promise I'll make it NG friendly. It's about time I stop abusing this site to get people to follow me elsewhere too.

To everyone else with their own projects, keep at it and good luck! Let's make 2018 memorable and productive.

Cheers!

P.S.: There'll be one (hopefully) last plug for a very special site by New Year and I am very excited about it.

I'd like to take a little time to thank you, some 21 people, who took your own time to press that follow button. It's not hundreds or thousands or hundreds of thousands that the many artists I admire and look up to have but it's 21 other people who, for reasons I can barely fathom, decided to follow the work of this one procrastinating, idle-minded try hard college kid.

You might not wish to respond, but if you ever need a little work of art or any sort of creative work or anything at all - contact me, and if I have the time and ability I'll help you out. My core desire for creative work has always been to make something that people will love just as much as I do the works of countless much greater ones out there.

I'm not really that busy anyway (aside from a few collaborative projects that I probably should've finished way back) and I'm not starving (yet). If you make a request I can use it for daily art too so everyone benefits.

    Thanks for staying!

*yes thank is a meme, I couldn't resist I'm sorry.

(This is an editted post)

Due to a certain financial instability I may be facing, I am opening up commissions. Here's a brief explanation:

I also do simple gifs or short animations, but I charge a minimum of $100 for them.

If you're interested, feel free to PM me directly! The help would be much appreciated.

Currently I feel like standing by the ocean, gazing upon the horizon of infinite possibilities. It's mid 2018 and the journey to become professional has officially begun for me!

After completing the first demo for my game, In Sheep's Clothing, I've slowed down work on it and began embarking on several other projects, some non-profit and some with small income, all in the hopes of building a portfolio and work experience. I'm excited to say that one of those, which has been consuming a massive portion of my time, is nearing completion!

6366710_152921530732_loginscreenver3.png

This past two months I've been working on some menu background images and login screens for a relatively small online shooter game and through the process I've learnt to conquer one of my biggest walls in art: backgrounds. At the same time, I've gained the ability to quickly scour for references and implement them in the appropriate style. I've definitely felt like I've improved my work process and art skills in general. I'm taking baby steps towards the concept and splash art work I've always dreamt of.

I'll put up some of the other images once the work is complete. I'm excited to see how they look in game once the update is released and just genuinely awed at how my goals and plans are progressing so successfully. From the kid who doodled in textbooks to getting paid for it. I'm teary eyed again.

But that's all for June. I'll be getting back to finishing non-profit work making sprites for a comical French visual novel which should be done by the end of the month or sometime in early July. There's also one other potential freelancing opportunity I've contacted but it's in the gray area.

I'm relieved to get back to my own stuff very soon because, however exciting it was, working for others and trying to make their vision a reality is incredibly difficult. It was absolutely humbling and I'm glad I made it through. I'll be taking a break, trying to finish my game and doing more studies, until hopefully I can get more small-time freelance work around August and September. I have a very promising plan in mind ;)

Let's hope for an awesome 2018 for everyone!

Woooooooooah!

The demo for my love-child- I mean, my visual novel, In Sheep's Clothing, is finally available for free to download! I'm crying tears of joy.

Although this is the first time I've ever made and published a game, the story and characters for this game has been sitting in my head, ever-growing for probably more than three years. Now I'm ready for the world to take a brief glimpse of this amazing story I will pour my soul into. Please enjoy.

Thank you to everyone who helped out! The finish line is still distant but we're getting closer.

G'day to you lovely people of NG!

I haven't posted in a long time and now I'm back with a word or two to say.

First of all, the visual-novel I'm working on is about to have a demo released somewhere around early April. If you're interested, be sure not to miss it on the Gamejolt page at https://gamejolt.com/games/In_Sheeps_Clothing/321393. It's entirely free.

There's a few awesome people who's helped out with the assets for this game, especially with the music so far (great work Manx1 and pleasure working with you VociferousMusic) and testing out the crappy alpha versions, but if you feel you're able to help out in terms of writing/editing scripts, sound effects and music, art (although a similar style and feel to mine is a prerequisite) or anything really, feel free to contact me. We can make an agreement, trade talents. Just notify me the next time you have a project in mind or is already working on one.

My main goal this year is to do plenty of collaborative work and build a good portfolio. I hope to transition from hobbyist to freelance professional in the following years and having plenty to show for would be good promotional material. If any of you have any art related projects you might need some help in, I'll try to set you up a good deal!

I'm currently putting my comics on hold. I was dissatisfied with the quality and just wasn't motivated enough at the time. Someday I'll return for them.

Let's hope 2018 is gonna be an awesome one. Thank you to all followers and those who favorited my pieces! I am proud to have my work mean something for you!

Hello, hello hello!

This is Marck, here with some plans regarding personal projects! Here on Newgrounds I aim to place all of my most polished art or preferred style as of the moment. Aside from that I'll use the place as an opportunity to work with people, since what I feel really resonates with me is the community here! I'm working on a comic right now, which I post on my DeviantArt account (along with sketches, experimental stuff and studies) but since I'm discontent with the way DA works, I'll be moving my comics to a proper webcomic hosting site by next month.

I feel this is a good way to organize content for now. I also want to build a portofolio on ArtStation once I feel I have sufficient technical skills.

EDIT: I did move my comics to Tapas. It's gonna be slow though because I'm prioritizing a game I'm working on.
